Efficient reversible data hiding via two layers of double-peak embedding

Reversible data hiding continues to attract significant attention in recent years. In particular, an increasing number of authors focus on the higher bit (HSB) plane image which can yield more redundant space. On other hand, lower planes are often ignored for embedding existing schemes due their harm rate. This paper proposes efficient reversible scheme via a double-peak two-layer (DTLE) strategy with prediction error expansion. The six-bit assigned as HSB plane, and double peaks applied either layer. makes fuller use redundancy space images compared one peak strategy. Moreover, we carry out median-edge detector pre-processing complex reduce size auxiliary information. A series experimental results show that our DTLE approach better performance scenarios high capacity achieves up 83% rate real-world datasets, BOSSbase, BOWS2 UCID, than state-of-the-art approaches while guaranteeing quality.
